The field of Potardière, is located in the town of Loroux Bottereau 20 minutes from Nantes. The Couillaud family runs this area for generations, and perpetuates the traditions of the winemaker. Our goal is to defend our land through the owner-grower image. This is a family operation that spans 30 hectares. Our vineyard is located at the side of a hill called "the Butte de la Roche." We can discover the Marais de Goulaine (vast expanse of water in winter and immense natural meadow in summer), they offer us a varied landscape and affect the maturity of the grapes with the autumn mists. Butte forms a ridge volcanic rocks with light and stony soils. The vineyard runs on the sunny hillside, refreshed by oceanic influences. This is the signature of a particular soil in our own area.
