Brasserie de Saint-Omer was founded in 1866. In 1950, following a series of takeovers, mergers, it is called Brasserie Artois commercial and 45,000 hectoliters of beer. The business sector was only regional Date until 1985 when it was bought by Saint Arnould GROUP, and on this occasion was renamed Brasserie de Saint-Omer.
The next two years are joining the fold of the Brasserie de Saint-Omer, the brewery Facon Bridge to Brick Brewery Sower and Lille. These three Breweries finally met in 1995 and took the name of GSA BREWERIES.
With its success, internationally recognized, development is rapid as production reached 1.4 million hectoliters through the marketing of beers to retail brands.

In the village of Hordain about fifteen kilometers south of Valenciennes, La Choulette is one of the few craft breweries in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. With an annual production of 4,000 hectoliters, the brewery's influence is not limited to the territory of Valenciennes. Instead, the beers brewed in the village of Hordain are distributed throughout the country and even beyond. They thus exported to Britain, Italy and the United States. The brewery now employs eleven people, including four in the manufacture of beer. For others, they work their direct distribution on the North region.
