In the heart of Berry, Sancerre is a flagship wines of the Loire Valley. The story begins in 1963 when a few wineries have joined forces to cope with the economic difficulties of the time. They are then a handful of men to create a cooperative winery in the heart of the vineyards in the town of Sancerre.
Over the years it has grown and remains the only cooperative in the appellation. This is an extension of the vineyard, a dynamic tool for wineries and finds strength by placing people at the center of these strategies. It allows for greater control of the overall operations of the chain from the production stage to the commercialization.
Today, exports account for 60% of our sales. Our house which includes hundreds of winemakers, develops these great wines of Sancerre at the tables around the world. La Cave des Vins de Sancerre is an excellent and essential showcase of Sancerre.
