Chantovent was established in 1953 Since 1993 this company belongs to the world of wine production within the group Jean d'Alibert. It is owned 1,200 wineries together in a union of wineries representing 6,000 hectares of vineyards and a group producing 325,000 hectoliters.
She is a small business with a turnover of around 23 million, allocated as follows:
- 60% in supermarkets
- 25% of exports (35 Countries)
- 15% in the traditional circuit
Specialists of Languedoc wines, the strategy of our company is primarily to develop, in a "terroir" concept, strong brands in Wine Country, Grape Wine, AOC Minervois. Chantovent is the first producer of Vin de Pays Coteaux Peyriac Area, with 90% of production, and is also the first producer of Minervois, with 35% of the appellation of the same name. The domain of Coteaux de Travers "Travers" means "rising sun side continues the tradition from father to son. It was in 1920 that the grandfather of Robert began to grow vines.
The vineyard consists of thirteen hectares located in the municipalities of Rasteau and Cairanne. The vines are mainly for red wines Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and. Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne for white wine.

On retrouve des traces de fabrication de vinaigre en Egypte et en Mésopotamie, il y a plus de 5000 ans.
